Administrative Director, Hospice Houses

Purpose: Responsibly defines the hospice care and services for General Inpatient Care (GIP) or Routine Home Care to patients admitted to Tidewell’s Hospice Houses. Supervises other assigned service/functions as identified.

Location/Work Schedule

Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Primary Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Judgment – apply broad knowledge and experience when addressing moderately complex issues. Models compliance and desired behaviors..
2. Financial Acumen – understands key financial indicators; uses monitoring techniques to create and evaluate programmatic options and opportunities, reality-based budgets.
3. Strategic Business Abilities - recognizes and demonstrates understanding and participates in response to business drivers.
4. Delegation – assigns clear responsibility and accountability; integrate and align efforts for specified areas; monitors results; tackle problems directly; recognizes and adjusts to the need for urgency and reprioritization as required. Self-starter..

7. Cross Functional Capacity – understand the role and interrelationship of each organizational function: have experience and skill in managing across functional and organizational lines.

Educational/Professional:

1. Requires a clinically focused Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university; Masters Degree in profession or healthcare administration or business preferred.
2. Hospice experience required.
3. Minimum seven (7) years of progressive not-for-profit, healthcare leadership/management experience with one (1) year program planning and/or business development experience.
4. An equivalent combination of professional experience and education may be considered as meeting the Education/Professional requirements.
