RN Career Ladder
New colleagues in many clinical positions then benefit from the guidance of a trained preceptor. These experienced colleagues serve as valuable mentors who lead workshops and are available to offer advice and provide encouragement and support.
You’ll continue to grow as a professional throughout your time at Tidewell by participating in a variety of learning opportunities led by our Education Department. Programs include instruction on a variety of clinical skills, diversity training and much more. There is CPR training conducted on site, advanced skills classes for LPNs and ongoing computer training to keep you up to date on the latest hardware and software.
Management-level colleagues benefit from a series of management development training workshops designed to improve your communication skills, your knowledge of key leadership topics, changes in legal and regulatory issues and more.
Career counseling is also available for colleagues who have the desire to explore their future opportunities at Tidewell.
Career Ladder Program for Registered Nurses
Tidewell is pleased to offer a career ladder program for our registered nurses. The Career Ladder Program provides the framework for developing, promoting, and rewarding RN’s that have direct patient care.
The program contains two tracks - RN/RNC Specialist and RN/RNCM Leader.
The RN/RNCM Specialist track is designed for RN’s that are experts in nursing, and would like to increase their knowledge and skills in the field. The RN/RNCM Specialist will serve as the nurse subject matter expert and will be involved with the education of others.
The RN/RNCM Leader track is intended for RN’s that are experts in nursing, and would like to advance to a clinical leadership position. The RN/RNCM Leader will work side-by-side with a Clinical Director and will conduct training and attend classes to develop their management skills.
Candidates for the Career Ladder Program are nominated by their supervisor or a member of the Career Ladder Review Board and must meet all of the eligibility requirements. In addition, applicants must complete an application and submit a portfolio.
