June 2011: Margi Miller, a dedicated Tidewell Hospice volunteer from Venice, has been named a Silver Level winner for the N4A (National Association of Area Agencies on Aging) Older Americans Enrich America Team Support Award. She was nominated for her “outstanding contributions to others and their communities.” Miller has been a volunteer with Tidewell for two years. During this time, many colleagues, volunteers, patients and families have experienced her outstanding contributions including: pet therapy, sitting vigil, volunteer mentoring, creating life reviews, spiritual care and visiting patients in nursing homes. She is probably best known at Tidewell for her talented playing of the harp. Miller will accept her award at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on June 17. Tidewell will also receive a check for $1,000 in Miller's honor from the Met Life Foundation.
